In with the new! I got my white tips acrylics done about three weeks ago and they were starting to grow out. They got so long that I could barely type or text. Since I am attempting to "learn the value of a dollar" I decided not to get them filled or get a new set, but to take matters into my own hands... Literally! We have a drummel file that I used to file all my nails down about a 1/5 of an inch or so. After that, I used just a normal hand file to even the edges out and make sure the corners weren't too sharp. Next I painted them with one coat of
Sally Hansen's Insta-Dri Nail Color in Lively Lilac. After letting that dry, I painted on silver tips using one of my dollar-store finds, L.A. COLORS Art Deco Nail Art Lacquer in Silver! Then I painted it with a top coat and voila! You can use any color combo you want and it's a great way to put your own unique spin on acrylics that your not quite ready to get rid of.
